Your Biron
Cardio
Profile
By requesting a Biron
Cardio
Profile, you and your physician will receive an objective assessment of where you stand with regard to the various cardiovascular risks. The analysis of your controllable and uncontrollable risk factors, combined with a sophisticated biochemical test, will enable the CESAM* team of cardiologists to define your cardiovascular risk and to support your attending physician in selecting an appropriate therapeutic plan.
That’s what we mean by a Biron
Cardio
Profile!
Uncontrollable risk factors
When we analyze your Biron
Cardio
Profile, we also consider important to look at the factors that affect your health but that you cannot control or modify. These include your family history, gender, age and ethnic origin.
Controllable factors
The risk of developing a cardiovascular disease also depends on a number of controllable factors, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, alcohol consumption, or smoking. The team of cardiologists involved may recommend that you take steps to control certain risk factors in order to improve your prognosis.
Biochemical test
Measuring the concentrations of the different biomarkers involved in cardiovascular disease, such as lipoproteins A and B, C-reactive protein (CRP), homocysteine, NT-proBNP and the lipid profile (triglycerides, HDL, LDL, cholesterol) makes it possible to determine your potential risk for developing cardiovascular diseases.
